Storm closes regular season by taking 2 of 3 from Union County

The Scott County Storm took two of three games from Union County in Saturday’s regular season finale at Fairview School’s Clois Strunk Field.

In the Cutters division to round out the night, Storm claimed a 27-0 victory to put the wraps on an undefeated regular season. Storm will head into the postseason as the No. 1 seed in the VFL League.

The JV Hoppers also picked up a win, defeating Union County 27-24. Storm’s youngest age group bounced back after suffering consecutive losses.

Union County ended Storm’s win streak in the Hoppers division with a 14-0 victory.

Attention now shifts to the playoffs, where all three teams could face NAGAF in the first round, pending the outcome of make-up games that are scheduled for this week.

All postseason games will be played at Norwood in Roane County, with the playoffs beginning Saturday, Oct. 23.
