The Scott County Storm’s JV Hoppers picked up the pace a little too late to recover after NAGAF scored back-to-back touchdowns early in the game on Saturday, and saw their hopes of back-to-back championship game appearances dashed with an 18-6 loss.
Likewise, the Storm’s Hoppers squad saw their hopes of becoming the first Storm team to ever reach the championship game in the Hoppers division ended with a 27-0 loss to NAGAF.
But the Storm’s Cutters scored a thrilling, 27-20 win over NAGAF to remain unbeaten on the season and advance to the VFL championship game.
The Cutters will face Norwood at Coalfield on Saturday afternoon.
