How to Watch/Listen

The commitment of the IH Sports Network is our community’s student-athletes, their families and their coaches. This 2021 football season, every game will be broadcast live*. There will be several ways to watch or listen. ihsports.net — Visit ihsports.net each week for links to the broadcast of each game.

Facebook Live — Each game will be broadcast on Facebook Live. One game will be broadcast on the Independent Herald Facebook Page. The other game (for weeks featuring both teams in action) will be broadcast on the IH Varsity Facebook Page. The Facebook Live lineup for the games will be announced on ihsports.net on Monday each week.

YouTube — Each game will be broadcast on YouTube. One game will be broadcast on the Independent Herald YouTube Channel. The other game (for weeks featuring both teams in action) will be broadcast on the IH Varsity YouTube Channel. The YouTube lineup for the games will be announced on ihsports.net on Monday each week.

WBNT — Through an agreement between the IH Sports Network and WBNT, the audio from each game will be simulcast on WBNT 105.5 FM. One game will be broadcast live; the other will be broadcast on a tape delay basis. The live game and delay game are chosen at the discretion of WBNT.


The best way to watch/listen… on your computer: Visit ihsports.net and stream the game of your choice directly from our website.

The best way to watch/listen… on your phone/mobile device: Use the Facebook app to stream the game of your choice from the Independent Herald Facebook Page or the IH Varsity Facebook Page. Not a Facebook user? Download the YouTube app on your Android, iPhone or other mobile device. Available from the App Store (iPhone/iPad) or Google Play (Android).

The best way to watch/listen… on your television: On your smart TV or streaming device (Roku, Apple TV, etc.), open the YouTube app and search for “Independent Herald” or “IH Varsity.” Or, use your iPhone/iPad or Android device to stream to your smart TV. Make sure that your device and your TV are connected to the same WiFi network, then open the YouTube app on your device, select the video you want to watch, and click the Cast icon.

The best way to watch/listen… on your radio: If you’re in WBNT’s coverage area (Scott County), tune your radio to 105.5 FM. If you’re in your car and outside WBNT’s coverage area, use an aux cable or Bluetooth to connect your phone to your car stereo. (Tip: IHSN broadcasts are streamed in high definition. To minimize the amount of data you’re consuming when only listening to the audio of a game, such as when streaming to your car’s stereo, manually select a lower resolution. On YouTube or Facebook, click the settingsthe Settings icon icon at the bottom of the video, and select the lowest resolution playback possible [usually 144p].) We encourage you to tune in to our pregame and postgame shows on your way to and from the game!
